sustainable living film festival, 2010 Karlskrona/Sweden

After the Sustainable Living Film Festival organized in Istanbul in 2008, Pinar Oncel and Tuna Ozcuhadar from the Sustainable Living Collective went to Karlskrona, Sweden and with the support of their friends in the Master’s in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS) program and locals, they co-organized the “Sustainable Living Film Festival Karlskrona” on May 14-16 2010.

Swedish performer Peter Elmberg gave a mini concert at the opening night of the festival, where 17 long and short documentaries were screened. Other musical performances between screenings, a dance performance by a young group, a small exhibition of art pieces made of recycled materials and a workshop on “How can the people of Karlskrona access sustainable food?” were organized as well.

A road map of the organization model and scope was prepared and an open source document was created for the use of organizers of similar festivals.
